Best Find
Ask a Question
What is the best deal/find someone has found and got?? And did you buy one or clear the shelves

So many over the years .The best to memory is a double bass string which I bought as one of five items for £1 at a boot sale and then sold for over £100!also a led zep album which I sold for £80.I bought an apocryphal bible for £2 which I later sold for £50 as well.

A few years ago, I bought a tin full of old British army cap badges for £20 from a second hand shop, turns out they are quite valuable

I got a limited edition of the Nintendo Wii for my daughter years ago in red with everything with it and it was boxed for £10 from a charity shop

KateGriff169 on the app/website it was like £30/35 I believe but went to store and there wasn't any on the shelves, asked them if they had any and they went and looked for me

KateGriff169 and they did have them and the worker brought me one out, scanned it for me and it was scanning at £1

KateGriff169 what more could you want for a pound!! Great find even more so when its something you want/need. Well done

I recently saw an offer at Asda online for toilet rolls which is a necessity for us all. I ordered online and collected next day. Even the storeman laughed when he wheeled the order to the car.

Once in home bargains they had 100 ml of Colgate toothpaste for 46p so I bought 50 tube's of it didn't need to buy any for a long time
Was once at a boot sale when my partner found a ring she liked the seller said she would take £5 for it as it wasn't gold she bought it after getting home she cleaned it up and it looked like it was gold we did a few tests on it a few days later she went in to a jewellers shop and they tested it turned out it was 18 cart gold and was made in Spain and very old she was put in touch with a London jewellery shop who said it was a very rare ring and had a lovely stone set in it and they offered to buy it she then contacted a expert in the the trade who sold it on her behalf and it made just over £3000 she then treated her and our daughter's to a holiday and gave the rest of the cash to a number of charities
She's now boot sale and flea market mad and she's had some other great buys too people still can hit lucky

Saved over £400! I bought a specialised Pranamat ECO on ebay for £10; RRP £80 at the time. It arrived boxed and authentic then I noticed the seller relist another one. So I asked how many he had, struck a deal and bought the lot - 5 more for £5 each! He was selling on behalf of someone else and clearly had no idea of the value

Not as good as some mentioned but saw this at Matalan at 50% off, was £24 down to £12. I couldn't make up my mind as gt. Grandson has lots of soft toys but it's like a little chair. Went back this afternoon and it was £7 so grabbed it anyway.

Got this one today in a local garden centre. I could wander round for ages and each time find something new. It's like an Aladdin cave! It's a duvet cover if you can't see it properly.

Never really found anything amazing but over the years I have had some good savings, after christmas a few years back I saw Oral B electric toothbrush heads in my local wilkos for 50p each. I bought the lot and they have only just run out. It hurts now having to pay full price for them.
I've had some good food bargains over the years as well, if no one else is around I tend to take the lot if I want all the items. If there are people around or those who clearly also want some of the things I want, I make sure to try not to be too greedy as I'm not exactly in the poor house and so think it's better it gets shared around.
Some of the reduced sections in supermarkets near me become a bit of a war zone with people just grabbing everything they can and pushing in, I love a bargain but I couldn't act that way to save a few quid.

I popped into Marks & Spencers today and found a top that was £24 for just £3. Very happy with my find.

I can publicly post this story now as it is without doubt of the Very Best find I've ever had but it's not any Deal for Shopping, it was a rather nice Find in a Huge field in the countryside and stashed away under an old Oak tree in the very middle of the field... A holdall, waterproof and rot proof, containing £50k cash.
Phew, it feels so good to finally get that one out of me as I've never told a Soul even irl let alone online
Thanks for reading friends, have a lovely weekend

suevernon1968 haha I think but no tin. Bundles were in ziplock bags though. Not seen that film yet but I like Morgan Freeman so it's one of those on my "oh I must watch that sometime" flim list

ThatsAGreatDeal you have to watch it. Its based on a book called. ‘Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption’
If you enjoy the film - read the book too. If you enjoy them both i will send you my details to pay the successful recommendation fee through to

ThatsAGreatDeal . I dont have any luck, if i was to find a bag of money, the police would of planted it waiting for spmeone to pick it up and it would be me

Years ago I used to find good bargains most months at car boots as people just weren’t as aware. Got a lot of high branded clothing for sort of 50p to £1 an item. A fair amount of Clarice Cliff pottery etc. i bought what i thought was a silver plate ring - it turned out to be platinum - i sold it and kept going back until she was there again and gave her £500 (less than half it was worth) my conscious mind wouldn’t let me not do it !

ThatsAGreatDeal i still love Clarice Cliff but everyone knows her work so it can be difficult to find a bargain now.

suevernon1968 aww what a lovely find and thing to do, not many people would do that

Missyme i could never have lived with myself. With rings that turn your fingers green i just used to layer clear nail polish on the inside of the ring to stop it which is why i didnt even look for a hallmark. We did end up going for a cuppa together - she ended up reducing me to tears lol.

suevernon1968 What a lovely story. It's nice to be reminded that there are still good people in this horrible world we live in x

Missyme i would like to think someone would do the same for me. I remember parking my car in a residential street to go to work years ago - when i got back to my car there was a note on the windscreen - it just said come to number 26 - they had seen my car keys fall out of my handbag and kept them safe. I think that has stuck with me through the years.

I was really lucky in Sainsburys last week, right place at the right time and picked up two pieces of TTD beef reduced from nearly £24 to 15p each, both went straight in the freezer.
