Best Insurance Comparison Site ?

I’m about to renew my sons car insurance and have tried compare the meerkat and money supermarket and they have given me roughly the same prices. Are there any other sites anyone can recommend please ?

This is assuming the current policy is auto renewal (unless cancelled before renewal date). If so get any quote less than current premium from anywhere for a like for like policy- then when you have a lower quote. Phone to cancel the auto renewal - you will inevitably be asked why you're not renewing. You simply say you've got a better price for a like for like policy elsewhere BUT DO NOT TELL THEM WHO WITH (or the price). IF they want to keep your custom they will often offer you a better price (they know the best price you could obtain elsewhere). and will usually undercut it.
I did this less than a week ago for home insurance - in my case the price I got was EXACTLY to the penny £5 below the best price I'd found elsewhere (and a lot less than the initial price). I can't see why this should not work for motor insurance.
Remember that if you purchase via a comparison site - they have to be paid by the insurance company, but comparison sites are a good way to find where the best prices are. You're doing the insurance company a favour by dealing with them direct.
I have been looking at insurance today and confused gave me the better prices then any of the others. Esure for me was the best buy
Jane read my longer post (above yours) before renewing. Comparison sites hopefully find the best companies for you - but want paying by the company you choose to go with.
I tried saying to them a couple of years ago I had a better price but they said they couldn't match it for the last year I have had a KA and the insurance was with esure I am getting Ford focus this evening but the quote I got from compare I will be ringing esure (which was the best quote) to see if they can do me a better deal 
then the site. I have had car insurance since 1991 and it's always hit and miss because of the areas I have lived in.
