Best Ketchup - Blind Taste Test
Ask a Question
Shopping for the tastiest tomato ketchup is a nightmare in our house.
We’ve tried Heinz, Hellmann’s and own brands from Sainsbugs, Waitrose, M&S and Asda.
Which brand of tomato ketchup wins in your household?
I usually get Crucials. They do a huge range of sauces and I’m yet to find any I don’t like. I quite like Daddies ketchup too though.
I dont it have that much to be fair but im about half way through Aldi's own brand one atm. I wont be getting it again, very thin and not much taste
neo1 good to know, thanks. Aldi’s own was one the list to try but I’ll just dodge it now.
We go through loads of ketchup and it has to be Heinz. It's the one that everyone likes. If it was up to me I'd be happy with the one from Lidl.
Nadiaparveen ah, interesting. Just reading the comments and had removed it from the list still to try due to neo1 Might just let the kids figure it out amongst themselves. As soon as the sauce is decanted onto the plate, I’m sure they’ve really no idea which brand is which!
Bramwells personally. But have also found that making diff dishes with flavours the tomato ketchup has been put on the back burner.
We do have Heinz, but we do get the supermarket own brands too, as I tend to mix chilli with everything anyway
Very brand loyal in our house! It has to be Heinz and HP. We get the no added sugar or salt version of the ketchup.
I just buy the Lidl own one. My husband and son will eat pretty much anything. Just put it in front of them and it's gone! I like the Lidl and Aldi own. Morrisons own one is good, as is their value one. Tesco value one is good too. I haven't bought Heinz in years.
In my house it is a case of you eat what is in front of you.
Hellman's one is horrid imo.
I'm sure that they put honey in it
Used it one time and it went straight in the bin.
I dont like tomato ketchup but my partner & kids do and i buy the aldi ketchup but they all say heinz is the best.
we will generally use own-brands but with ketchup tend to stick with Heinz ... same for salad cream
Usually buy either Heinz if it’s on offer or just the Asda own brand. I like that Heinz offer a reduced salt version.
I really liked the red and green tomato ketchup. It's a shame that Hellman's no longer make it.
We tend to have Heinz tomato sauce as one of us is fussy (ha, ha) but also love the HP honey BBQ sauce which is very tasty.
