Yep, I love my VW Up! Everyone who has been in it says it is deceptively roomy, even my 6' 7" nephew who also said the air con was brill.

it is smooth to drive,unlike my previous Aygo which rumbled like a tank.

It is £20 per year road tax and does over 60 mpg.

It has a detachable screen which does entertainment, Garmin satnav and Bluetooth phone connection. I highly recommend for anyone who does not need a big car.

I'd look for things in your price range, then check out reviews, narrow your choices down and then go for some test drives to choose.

Try doing a Google search for ‘Best Used Cars Under £10,000’ there are numerous lists, but the same best buys come up over and over again. It should help you choose!

I have a ford fiesta... the car itself isnt cheap but my insurance and running costs are very low and i get around 55 mpg
