Where is the Best Place to Go on Holiday for a Beach Holiday in the UK?
Help
Where would you say is the best place in the UK to go for a lovely family beach holiday? Family including young children all the way up to the grandparents. Looking for something for everyone and good value!
What are your top tips? Self cater? Hotel? Camping?!
Hi EmilyDeals
If your kids can't swim yet, or are not strong swimmers, you may have a more relaxing time at a lake with a sandy beach, where the water will be shallower, much warmer, and calmer, than the sea. This one in Surrey is a bit of a secret - and the surrounding area will be much less crowded in the summer than the coastal beaches.

Thanks for this not too far from me. Our closest is in South water. Worth noting not all lakes are safe to swim in though so you should only swim in designated lakes. Never jump in when you can't see what's in it.
I'd recommend Cornwall or Devon but can be pricy so it depends on your budget. If your on a tight budget sun holidays - Camber sands has a really lovely beach if the weather is nice it's like being abroad. South coast also recommended and lots of camp sites, for example knockhatch adventure park has a camp site and is fun, your close enough then to drive to several beaches.
I don’t think Weymouth can be beaten. Lovely beaches and old fashion charm. Myself my mum and my daughter take my 3 grandchildren every year for a week in a caravan on a holiday camp. Good family fun.
