Best SIM Cards for Using Abroad?

I usually get the SIM cards that are available in the country I am going to, but I can see now there are lots of options for you to buy before you fly
Any recommendations?

Wifi - Whatapp call/text, depends what country you go to. Out of all the major Networks Three has widest selection of foreign countries you can use your sim abroad

Reply1unfortunately, they are not available for where I am going, and I find that the local networks can be faster and more reliable than 3. We mainly use it for data - dont really need to call or text anyone when I go away
