Best Thing about Winter?

Other

With the nights getting darker and weather changing, what's your favourite thing about the winter.

Mine is the cosy evening spent with family snuggled at home.

kitty88uk ...Walked from my Sat 8.30 am- Sunday 8.30am shift to join my friend & some of her family yesterday at Mass at our church..

It was absolutely FREEZING inside, even the Deacon joked about putting the heating on for next Sunday, the usual Priest has gone to India & no one knew how to turn the heating on according to my friend who helps out at the church!

janphoenix51 omg 😱 oh no! No one at at did not know how to turn on the heating?! Omg 😳 hope you all were all okay! Remember to dress warmly with a scarf 🧣 for next time just in case! I was hanging clothes out to dry Sunday lol so freezing 🥶 had to hang laundry 🧺 out to fry them as much as possible then hang in patio or in rooms to dry

Didn’t need to put mine in dryer lol

kitty88uk ....I had a good quality M & S thermal long sleeve top on, a thickish t shirt, a hoodie & my Trespass Raincoat on!

My friend's mum had a thermal vest. Jumper & padded coat on & she was absolutely freezing as we're my friend & her son who were dressed for the cold weather too

We ended up going across the road for hot drinks & food after Mass...

Our sons birthday! He always gets so excited for it and loves helping to plan his party. I also love snuggling up under blankets and lots of layers. Also being able to drink hot chocolate, although not too often as its bad for my waistline!

kitty88uk you open the windows in the evening to let the heat out, it's hard at first but you also have to keep curtains pulled during the day and open them up for an hour or so in the evening. Xx

I do enjoy a winter walk, the air is crisp and fresh and the views can be beautiful plus it helps stop you sweating as much on a long walk. If you take a flask of coffee with you, you really appreciate the stops when you have a cup of coffee and enjoy the views. I'm not keen on rain on a very cold day though but clear skies and cold is fine.

Nothing really expensive bills to keep warm.

Can't live without heating in my home.

But I like eating nuts in the winter since they are a warm food and especially fish and chips and samosas
