Best thing you have won/received
Competitions
Hi all what's the best thing you have won or had for free?
Hey lisa90,
The best thing I've won is a Β£100 voucher for WalkTall.co.uk - it was a couple of years back now but I believe I won after filling out a feedback survey. My hobbit feet were very happy!
How about you?
It was one of my first ever competition I did I won a brand new laptop, computer and table all in same competition this is how it all started for me
Hello! The best thing I have won so far, is my Voodoo Vixen paper doll dress! Which is Β£50
The best prize by far was a trip for two to the GB Grand Prix five years ago with a local coach company! Not had anything as good since but this last couple of months I have had a few small wins so not complaining!
Brilliant prize. I love winning experience prizes. They are always the best memory makers.
i recently thought i had won 10 grand on a scratchcard , totally buzzing i rang my friends to tell them but then i put my glasses on and realised i hadn't won a thing haha
The best freebie i have received is this play tent. The best thing i won was Β£500 on a scratchcard Enjoyed a holiday to Mexico with that x
I go through phases of being lucky on them. Won Β£200 & Β£100 in same day just intime for christmas last year
My sister won Β£5,000 on a scratch card once, but I think she has all the luck. I never seem to win anything!
My best win ever has to be the holiday to Malta that I shall be taking in September. I won this through the lovely Evening Standard. That's free flights, free accommodation and free tickets to a festival. Plus, I have arranged to meet a good friend from the UK who will be joining my partner and I. It's going to be a blast...
Another notable win this year was this outfit from https://joanieclothing.com/. I won this from the Belvoir daily competition.
I have won numerous tickets for events in London for the following: Para Athletics Championship, London Eye, The Shard, an exhibition at The Barbican, a pop-up cinema screening, a West-End magic show and a champagne reception by Lanson.
I have been super lucky to sample a lot of beauty products to trial, test and review. Notably the best sources have been Beauty on Trial, Bzz Agent, Supersavveyme, Ipsos Mori, Pinecone Research amongst many others. My latest beauty trial has been with Maybelline for a new foundation launch. I have lost count of how many bottles of shampoo and conditioner I have tested. Here's some I received from Garnier recently.
I also often take part in projects to test household goods such as floor cleaners, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc... It's a great way to try out new products before they come to market.
I have recently signed up with Unilever and here is the first batch of products to test... I thought I was getting one bar!
I also complete lots of surveys online, take part in panel discussions and various market research projects. In return, I receive Amazon vouchers and literally these pay for any presents I need to buy throughout the year, especially at Christmas time. Of course Latest Deals has contributed to my Amazon account this year too.
To keep track of all this activity I have a dirty secret to share... I keep a spreadsheet that lists my successes. It means that I can analyse the results, see what sources were the most successful and how this equates financially. At the moment I seem to have saved Β£8.6K over 6 years. It's not a life-changing sum of money. But then that's not why I do this. This is just a fun hobby that I enjoy.
Over the years I have been part of a number of communities that work towards a few goals:
Winning, testing and receiving products
Sharing news with others
Saving money
Having fun!
So my best advice is to be selective. Only go for what you really want and will benefit from. And just enjoy it. Go go go!
I am not as advanced as having a spreadsheet...i have my prizes and freebies book where i jot everything down. Such fun!
Best win was a Β£500 John Lewis voucher from a heart radio comp (a free enter online one, not a pay to enter one).
I'm signed up to bzzagent and recently got my first trial freebe which was a whole packet of L'or coffee AND some vouchers!
Love bzzagent. I've been with them for many years. Sometimes the campaigns can be slow to come through. But when they do it's worth the wait.
I have had so many fantastic (well fantastic to me anyway) competition wins and freebies, so it is hard to pick! My best competition win was perfume worth Β£60 and I love all the toiletries that I win or get for free. Love all the freebies and competition wins that I get.
i won a brand new eco bolier and Β£2500 john lewis vouchers in january
a centre parcs holiday in feb and a 2 night hotel stay march

AlthouAlthough not worth as much i won a huge box of innocemt smoothie a few years back and recently a big box of 18 cadburys bars. Love foodie prizes. Been many more. However big or small i just love the buzz
So far a handbag has been my best win. It was just before I got married too and it went with my dress
clareemckenzie Daniel Sandler. You can tell it is expensive just by the packaging!
I won a huge beautiful serving bowl off my daily spin on the big dl app. Knew I had won a serving bowl but when it came it was absolutely massive. Will be used at Christmas.
Big DL is good for offers / money off in your local area in stores and restaurants and the daily spin gives you entries to comps and freebies etc.
Ipad, gold watch, went to see honda at silverstone and won a ai car racing set. Going to a pgl adventure holiday 2moz what i won. 500 intu voucher, bbqs a garden thing you walk through,a garden protector for veggies over last few years i usually win 1k of stuff a year on a bad year total this is Β£2300 so not to bad
I've been really lucky with a few competition wins, think the best one would have to have been a valentines weekend in an eco chalet last year complete with a bottle of champagne and a bouquet of flowers! It was fairly local to us so my husband and I had the first night to ourselves and the kids came the next night as it was my daughters birthday the following day! Was a lovely location near the sea with a balcony view too! Really lovely place and even though it's not far from us, it was far enough away it still felt like a holiday! Only thing we had to pay for was our food! Fully intend on returning as we all loved it!
