The best value of an Approved Foods batch?

Help

I know this is entirely subjective but can folks give an opinion on the stuff they've ordered to reach the £17+ minimum? There's so much to choose from that one could spend hours browsing it. 😛

This is such a great question. Most people know Approved Food for the big chocolate offers. I once got 48 Twix bars for £1, for example. But I've discovered Approved Food is even better for discounted high value items:

The wine selection. World-class wines are reduced from the just-out-of-budget £10-£20 range, back into the affordable £5-£9 area. A couple of these and you've reached your £17+ minimum.

Many people reading this will say wine, roasted coffee beans, and protein powders aren't the best value things you can get. They'll say - as I used to - it's better to get the massive packs of cheap stuff. Quantity, not quality. But I've started to reverse that thinking.

If you're saving everywhere else, e.g. cycling not driving, switching energy suppliers, shopping at discount retailers; then spending a few extra pounds to get a world class wine makes more sense than not. The happiness you get from the better wine, or the better quality chocolate, or the Italian home-roasted coffee beans... is 10X higher.

Haha I'm clearly not as cultured as I'd take 10 boxes of cheap chocolate over expensive chocolate (even if reduced) any day 😁

I guess as I see it the best value items are the things you'll actually use! I've been tempted by the massive discounts before but then had to stop myself when I realised I'm really never going to drink 100 cans of Hooch or use that Pet-Safe power extension cable 😄

There are definitely some good deals to be had though (especially with that free delivery code!)

I do not know. Approved Foods seems like pound shops, full with chocolates and sweeties, confusing, but if you want to get basics like flour, pasta. Do you get a good quality?

You can also claim cashback making it even cheaper and there are always codes for money off or free delivery if you sign up for emails. I bought drinks/crisps/sweets to save for 2x imminent cinema trips.
