I love Whipsnade. My daughter was 3 at the time so we took her smart trike and we had the best day. The baby elephants were amazing. Very active and talkative. It is a huge zoo, lots of animals and lots of walking. The talks were good too.

I may have only visited London Zoo. I think most of the animals were asleep when I visited. Outside of the zoo there are a few vantage points in Regent's Park where you get a clear view of some animals such as the camels and penguins.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park, it's a conservation park and the majority of the animals have been rescued. It's a photographers dream as the enclosures are lower down than the fence line meaning no irritating grey fence on your photos

Longleat safari park was really good. You get to drive around parts of it as if you're in a real safari. I haven't been to the London one in a long time so can't comment. It was good last time I went I guess.

I love Noahs Ark Zoo farm & Folly Farm as their great for younger kids. My son is 13 and he prefers going to West Midlands Safari because of the theme park.

Colchester zoo is lovely, good range of animals and they are well into conservation work etc.

I don't think I have ever enjoyed a visit to the zoo. They are always dirty and smelly and I just can't stand seeing caged animals, it really upsets me and I am not even a particular animal lover!

Chester Zoo was really good when I went. Loads of space for the animals and a huge variation in different animals.

Colchester Zoo was fantastic especially if you’re prepared to meet the keepers who give enthusiastic talks throughout the day. It really is worth going to these little talks they give you a wonderful insight to the animals in their care. Try to visit midweek when it’s not so busy.
