Is It Better to Pay Cash or by Card?
Ask a Question
Is it better to pay cash or by credit card?
We either pay by cash or card at super market or stores... what do u prefer?
Should we pay in cash?
Should we pay by card?
I personally prefer paying by card, bcoz it is hassle free... no round ups, no messy chillers...
it is convenient for the cashier and the customer.. I hardly carry any cash
At a store? Depends if they accept VISA/Mastercard or cash only.
Online? You better pay with a credit card so if you get scammed, you can claim a charge back to get your money back.
Card....cash is very dirty, because a lot of people can touch it in one day....
Also the coins destroy your purse...
Honestly I have no cash anymore, just cards.
I agree about coins being dirty and wrecking purse...and pockets too... but I feel bad using contactless to pay for small amounts...and if I'm honest...I'm not sure I fully trust the security of contactless tho I'm using it now due to Covid concerns.
BORDERJOE u can get a revolut card . They offer a service, you can get a digital card for each payment and it changes...using the app
Both prefer cash for smaller amounts , but cards for larger purchases, always carry some cash just in case because even now not every where accepts cards.
I prefer contactless rarely carry cash its quick and convenient although cash is easier for budgeting
I can’t be dealing with cash, haven’t used it more than a few times a year for probably the last 10 years... my husband hates using card and prefers going to get cash out the bank which makes no sense to me
I prefer card tbh.
I always carry a small amount of cash just incase we go somewhere that only takes cash but usually everything on the card !
I've always been a cash person ie if i dont have the cash in my pocket then i cant spend it. But due to covid I've got to be sensible so am just using a contactless card for the mo
At some point in the future you may not have a choice. There are a lot of places in my area that no longer accept cash payment. You can only pay by card or app. The number of cashless shops, cafes, etc has grown as a result of COVID-19. Personally, I prefer contactless payment by card, as I find it's faster and more convenient.
I wonder if anyone is concerned about privacy and other liberal stuff. With credit card payments, all information about you is accessible by third parties. Its your choice to leave a trace or not
I prefer card as it's way quicker and easier. Saves time for me and others in line don't have to wait long. I sometimes do cash but I usually already have it ready and counted before going to the register.
Card, less hassle. Electronic transaction which shows up on my bank and I'll have proof of purchase
Card is much more convenient, particularly contactless. And using a credit card gives you added security
Card providing its contactless. typing your pin number into the reader not a lot off difference in handling cash as many have touched
I prefer to pay by card just because its convenient especially contactless. Very rarely handle cash anymore
This whole cashless system we're going into concerns me a lot (and especially when CBDC launches) so I've decided I'll try to use cash much as possible and use mom and pop stores and flea markets to not pay tax from items I'd need. Unfortunately it's pretty hard to avoid paying taxes altogether.
We live in a world of "convenience" and cards aren't even that anymore for some, instead they use their palms and face.
I don't mind using my card but I don't want to live in a cashless society, so I try to use cash. I find it surprising so many shops and restaurants don't accept cash any more.
I pay with both. Cash for small purchases like the markets, newsagents and card for expensive items like tv, washing machine.
I use my cards for online and large amounts of money but like to use cash when out and about.
I much prefer paying with Apple Pay, that way I am not carrying cash. I can’t remember the last time I used cash.
