Biodegradable Wrapping Paper

at christmas I found out that the usual wrapping paper isn’t recyclable, as it’s mainly plastic, I had no idea and I’m all for doing my bit. I have my daughters birthday next month and wondered if there was an alternative a pretty/colourful one I could recycle. Or any environmentoh friendly ways to wrap presents

Could buy a roll of paper and decorate it yourself? We got a huge roll from B&M. (Quite heavy compared to wrapping paper so may be hard to wrap with)

didnt use any wrapping paper on grandkids this year just put everything in the xl xmas sacks
