Birthday Present
Ask a Question
Hi, any ideas for a birthday present? It is for my mum who lives abroad. She doesn't have any hobbies sadly so don't have any ideas. I have sent in the past flowers, plants, sweets. I want something different this year.
You could get a canvas made online of your son milestones one as I recall he not long had his first birthday. Or a blanket version
GSM I had books made by up-loading special photos from these people, the quality and price was really good and arrived within a week. https://www.snapfish.co.uk/home
i had a calendar made for my mum at christmas, each month had a photo of her with someone or her dogs or her children. she loved it and said she didnt even want to use it because it was so special! i included pictures of her mum and dad, even though her dad has now passed.
my mum's animal mad- so i also one year got a phone case that had a picture of her dog.
i also got a local artist to draw a canvas of her dogs.
Something with a picture on, like mug, or even in a nice frame. Or anything that’s she loves over here that she can’t get over there x
Why don't you send her a hamper of British Food. I know Bettys of Harrogate to ship abroad https://www.bettys.co.uk
Maybe you could give her something as a hobby? A craft kit in a box, maybe? How about candle making or felt craft?
What does your mum enjoy tho? Even if not hobbies anything she misses from home apart from fam?
Thanks everyone, very good suggestions but unfortunately most of them I have already done in the past or are not for my mum. In the end I am going to buy a difussor with essential oils.
How about a personalised vase? I bought one from Personalised Gift Shop a few months ago and it was lovely, reasonably priced too
A friend bought my mother in law a cushion with a picture of her and our son on it. It is her absolute favourite picture of them and she cherishes the cushion.
