Ask a Question

It's my birthday on Tuesday & was wondering what 2 do for it. Should I stay in or go out? I can't have any sweet treats 😔 as I've recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes & have cut the sweet stuff fully for now. If I decide 2 go out with my mate I'll have 2 consider her needs cause of her disability. Decisions decisions 🤔🤔🤔

Look, try to see for another sight... Check if there is anything you can do without causing any problems with your partner. Try go to cinema or do things not considering suuugar. I hope any you can do in your birthday will be a good birthD! ;) See ya!

Billie , sorry. I know this feeling , I am a Non Diabetic Hypoglycemic. So, I am in need of SUGAR, and I know could be a crack down, but try things you both like to do.... Hope you will have a very nice and lovely birthday! See ya! ;)

Its only your birthday once a year so just do something that you will enjoy. Whether its going out or staying in a watching a movie with your friend. You can still get snacks that are sugar free 🙂 Happy Birthday for next week!

Billie Dominion sugar free sweets from Aldi are good - 65p for a 44g box - my favourites are cappucino flavoured followed by strawberry flavoured ones.

Sit down with your mate and have a chat and see what you both fancy doing. Personally going out to a club or busy pub would be a nightmare birthday for me but I know alot of people enjoy that kind of stuff. Whatever you decide to do have a happy birthday 😊

I completely ignored my last birthday as I spent it in the hospital. My mother in law did bring me a cake and the midwives wished me a happy birthday but it was the last thing I cared about at the time.

I think you do what you want to do. I never really celebrate my birthday, nor does my husband. We have a nice dinner at home and maybe watch a film. We don't make it a big deal. Do what you are comfortable with.

Can't offer you any advice on the food front I'm afraid.

MrsCraig I don't normally do anything anything special for my birthday but I fancy doing something little this time lol. I'm glad it ain't a big birthday cause my sister's been trying 2 wind me up saying she's going 2 organize a big do for it. That would be my idea of a nightmare lol x

Billie I would hate a massive party too! If I had to do something I would go out for afternoon tea and do some shopping. Might not seem exciting but I would love it.

Then again I spent my last birthday recovering from a c-section so I would be happy just to have a relaxing bath for my birthday this year! X

MrsCraig afternoon tea or something little like that would be my cuppa tea. I'd hate 2 be centre of attention for my birthday x

Billie patisserie valerie do a lovely afternoon tea for 2 for £25.

The only day I enjoyed being centre of attention was my wedding day, otherwise I'm happy to hide in the background.
