A Bit of a Rant about Cashback Websites Which I Am Sure Many of Us Can Relate To
Other
Lately, I have been noticing a lot of great 100% cashback offers on sites such as TopCashback. However, all of these offers appear to be for new members only, whereas all the veteran loyal members go without. I find this frustrating because surely this would discourage previous loyal members from using the site every so often from now on as it seems to favour new members. I myself hardly ever bother with TopCashback nowadays because of this, although I suppose you do get the odd reasonably good offer. But I do definitely think there should be more rewards for those veteran loyal members.
I agree. There’s nothing more annoying than being forgotten about, which is what all these companies do, although I understand the logic - they want to butter up the newbies, because once they’ve got you, it’s not like you’re going to leave, so their businesses strategies is always about attracting new customers. It’s the same for most places, and I’m sure it’s like that on here as well, as additional bonus points are given to get the newbies. But that’s fair enough, as most loyalty schemes are not very good these days anyway (I know the likes of nectar and Tesco have become far less generous over time)
Yes, that is true. These companies aren't particularly interested in any of us. All they are interested in is attracting more and more members as a way to increase reputation and profit for themselves. I do think that people shouldn't share those TopCashback offers on here every so often because I think the majority of us on here who are into deals and freebies have already been members of it for a while now, so therefore are not eligible.
RegularComper90 I guess they’re only focusing on new sign ups as that’s what their HQ demands, as that drives profit, whereas people who have been with them awhile just get savvier with money, so are perhaps not as tempted by offers, so they just don’t try. Such a shame as it does make long standing members feel as if they’re losing out, it’s very annoying
