Bitcoins
Freebies
lot of hype in the news about these .I was looking at it to try and understand it and found a site that gives you so many credits for viewing ads to exchange for bitcoins. Anyone used it ? is it worth trying ?
Hi JohnRankin I'm afraid we don't allow referral links on LD so I've edited your post to remove the referral part. You are however more than welcome to ask if anyone has experience with the site.
I'm afraid I've not heard of it before. Would be interesting to see how it compares to surveys or other methods of earning online.
JohnRankin I’ve seen talk of Bitcoins everywhere! There’s so many sites eg Coinbase and loads of others where you trade & mine them. Not seen the site you’ve linked though
Hi, I'm still a novice but have learnt some about it.
If you're serious about getting into BitCoin you'll need to buy a hardware wallet which costs around £80-100 because if you rely on a free BitCoin web wallet there's a good chance you'll lose it or someone steals it.
Here's an example of a hardware wallet: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00R6MKDDE/
To learn more about the Trezor hardware wallets and buy directly from: https://trezor.io/
Now, to invest on BitCoins you need to be careful as there's a lot of scammers who want free BitCoins (depends but can be worth more than 'real' money). The Independent posted an article about investing BitCoins so worth a read.
By the way, try to avoid the mining BitCoin apps on Android as those apps are just scams - i.e., you either end up mining BC for someone else and you don't get jack or it's just a total waste of time. Either way, it's the latter.
nemosays BitCoin is growing and who knows if it'll be more valuable than GBP/EUR but probably won't outdo USD.
nemosays One other thing, something that I've noticed that people say every single year is "I should've invested on BitCoin last year and now it's not worth it." and the cycle just repeats itself.
The hardware wallet is kinda pricey but ultimately worth it to keep those BC secure.
Would stick to Coinbase, they're one of the more official sources of investing into Bitcoin. You can buy from as little as £10 I believe - https://www.coinbase.com/
There seems to be some controversy about Coinbase currently. Philip DeMarco made a video about it.
It is a gamble, but u can do this with real money too....for example u know the pound will drop, so u put your money to Euro, because that will increase.
Bitcoin can crash anytime and my worry is not this.....but it is digital currency, so it is only exist in computer systems, so what if someone hacks it???
It's always a gamble even moreso when 'real' currencies see BitCoin as a threat to their existence and overtake the power they have. The most powerful currency is USD and that probably will never be defeated but GBP and EUR? There is a possibility.
European countries had their own currencies before jumping to the Euro currency ship and then not even all wanted. I still wish most didn't go along with it. I miss the Escudos, Pesetas, Francs, etc.
Bitcoin slump sees trades suspended on certain exchanges
Bitcoin plunged on Friday, extending a fall that saw the crypto-currency lose almost a third of its value from a record of nearly $20,000 (£15,000).

Wise fellow! Even though he lost millions investing in Tesco. Oops!
Been using BTC since May 2021, but won't be exchanging GBP for BTC for the foreseeable future. It's very unstable so if you didn't get into it, then don't bother, imo.
Do I regret buying a hardware wallet and BTC? No, it's good to have an alternative coin.
