I have two beautiful, loving daughters in law

I have 3 grandchildren as lovely as their parents
What do I need with material possessions?
No, I don't have a partner and I often miss the closeness of a relationship, but how can I possibly complain at my lot in life. I just hope I can return even a fraction of the care I receive.
One neighbour is a young woman with 3 children, the other a single 20+ and they text regularly and offer to get me shopping. Whenever I feel low I try to concentrate on what I have, not what I haven't. For my part I make them cakes lol!

Actually, after reading the comments on my topic about the meal I decided I was going to swallow my pride and graciously accept the meal. In the event it was absolutely delicious, cooked by her husband while she was at work. He delivered it plated up with a separate mini jug of gravy.
Yes, I am extremely lucky with family and friends although I have had my share of tragedy and misery in the past. I just wanted to prompt people into concentrating on the good things they have and not dwell too much on the not so good.
I think that is such a positive attitude, I think the last year has brought home to us how precious friends and family are, and it's so easy to dwell on the negative.
