(Expired) Write a Review for Debenhams? (200 Points)
Other
Hey guys, would you be willing to write a review of Debenhams here in the comments for 200 points?
This is an experiment to see if there is appetite for writing brand reviews in exchange for points? Similar to Trust Pilot.
If yes, please could you write a review here in the comments about your shopping experience at Debenhams? It needs to be a minimum of 40 words long which is about the same length as this paragraph.
I will manually award the points afterwards. You can write something good, something bad - just be honest! What do you think of Debenhams?
Thank you,
Tom
Example:
Debenhams is great for deals and bargains. I've noticed that since January, Debenhams has been doing much more sales and discounts. I last bought a Tripp suitcase from them, which was good quality and arrived on time (plus I got free delivery). However, I do admit that I prefer shopping at Debenhams online and find the in-store shops a little boring.
I used to shop at Debenhams very often but unfortunately I don't have any local one nowadays, which I quite disappointig! Never then less they have a great, easy to use website so I always try to take advantage of their great sales. I never had a problem with online shopping at Debenhams.
I have noticed over the past year or two, Debenhams has begun to put on more sales etc, compared to before. I mainly shop for beauty and skincare, & I have noticed that they have started having alot of beauty and skincare offers lately. Especially at Black Friday & Xmas time. Majority of the staff are helpful, although sometimes itโs difficult to find staff in my branch. Overall, a good experience, but only on the beauty floor. I donโt find the other departments as exciting.
My recent experience with Debenhams was great. For Mother's Day I'd ordered a few bits, many happened to be on sale which was great as I like a good deal , the free click and collect(ยฃ20+ spend) came in very handy and I was able to collect within the week. BTW, my mum loves her Yankee Candles and comfy snood.
Earlier today I happen to have ordered a pair of trainers for my sister, so it's safe to say I am a fan
My problem with Debenhams is I can never find clothes I like as they are either too young and 'trendy' or too old and mumsy. I seem to be in the middle. I can't say that I purchase clothes there as I leave empty handed. I also find the lay out confusing. I never know what brand of clothes is on what level. I wander around looking for sections. On the plus side, my local Debenhams is one of the few shops that have toilets for customers, so that is one of my primary reasons for visiting. I also find the amount of perfume in the air to be too much, for eg, Friday morning 9.30am, perfume was being pumped into the area between the inner and outer store doors and it was so strong, I thought it would give me a migraine - I could smell it even outside the store before the doors opened.
I find Debenhams to be overly expensive, although they do have a lot of sales popping up I still find that if I compare prices online the sales are still not that cheap. I do however enjoy meeting friends at their cafe as the food is really quite tasty with plenty of variety & it is a good price for the portion size you receive. The staff are friendly too & you don't feel you have to rush.
Debenhams doesnโt really appeal to me Iโm in my early 20โs, and I feel like the womenswear section is either too formal, too โoldโ or just not suitable for whatever reason for someone my age. It all feels abit boring. The only floor I visit is the Beauty floor but even that isnโt my cup of tea. Donโt get me wrong: theres more and more offers creeping up, which is good- but itโs very cramped in my store in the Beauty dept. & I prefer to shop at Boots or Superdrug or even Selfridges for Beauty instead.
I feel Debenhams have really good customer service and a wider range of products. My personal experience with Debenhams is mostly positive with a bit of disappointment due to overpricing even after counting in discounts and offers. Still the classic department store feel and plenty of friendly staff available to assist.
My nearest Debenhams is 25 miles away so it's not worth the trek and I personally haven't shopped at Debenhams due to the fact I believe that it's overpriced especially when you compare prices online these days I believe it's difficult for retailers to compete with online prices but that's the era we live in now.
Tom just a few questions about the points system that I have noticed looking through my points history for the first time today
1) how is it possible to get -5 points for commenting are there penalties for certain comments?
2) I only got +170 points for this
3) It states in my points history I reached over 5000 points but mostly reward available to claim and in the top right where my profile picture it states that I'm.still under 5000 points does it take a while for the system to catch up?
Thank you
Interesting my previous comment kicked the system up the bum and updated it but my first 2 questions are still relevant
Debenhams is a one of my staple retailers, whereby I visit during the sale periods to hunt for a bargain. There are always customer service representatives that are always n hand to help, and they allow for you to search for stock yourself instore. Iโve used both their delivery and click and collect services without any problems. The main reason why I find im shopping less and less in Debenhams is that I no longer find them competitive - there are many other retailers the high street that sell similar items cheaper, so my custom has been tempted away from them
hspexy - Kelsey does have plans to implement new awards - and your points will count towards it! Please assume the next awards are at 150,000 and 200,000... (may not be exactly this but something similar). Itโs on the big to do list and thereโs quite a few members in a similar position now
I made an online order at Debenhams a few months ago. When it was delivered it wasn't what I expected. So I took it back the next day for a full refund. Customer service was excellent. The only bad thing I have to say is, the website doesn't work all that good.
My local Debenhams store is always great for those extra special buys for a birthday or special event. I find the assistants in store very helpful. If you have not already joined then they have a beauty club in which every month you can claim some great beauty freebies at no cost to yourself.
I cannot recommend debenhams enough. Whilst out looking for inspiration for a mother of the bride outfit I saw what I didn't know I needed. Sadly it was a returned on line purchase that had been discontinued and brought into store by mistake. The lovely lady could just have told me to look online but she went so out of her way to ring head office locate me the correct size and had it delivered 2 days later. Customer service that we sadly don't experience too often.
Thank you everyone! Great to see everyone would be interested in this and I have awarded points to those who have replied so far. It's now closed
