Bowel Cancer Awareness Month
Other
Every 15 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with Bowel cancer. Every 30 minutes sadly someone does from it. It's the 4th most common cancer in the UK but the 2nd biggest killer. It's the same cancer which caused the death of Chadwick Boseman from the Black Panther. According to Bowel cancer UK nearly half the UK population couldn't name the common signs and symptoms of Bowel cancer. If detected early .. the survival rate is over 90% .. if found very late .. unfortunately the 5 year survival rate drops down significantly to 10%. Let's all be Bowel cancer aware.
If anyone would like to donate as a one off or even monthly to bowel cancer UK here is the link
I know more about bowel cancer then I ever wished too. My parents were both diagnosed with bowel cancer just several weeks apart in 2011. It was the most devastating time for my family. Unfortunately it was caught too late to cure in both their cases. At the time my mum was part of research treatment for SIRT which is now available on the NHS for bowel & liver cancer patients. Do not ignore new changes or new pains. It can save your life. We donate frequently to bowel cancer research.
