Bracelet Left Green Mark on Arm

Other

I was wearing this bracelet I have had for 11 years now from a Topshop sale .. and today I noticed it left my arm (just above wrist area) with this green mark similar colour to a greenish vein.. at first I thought the bracelet may have been tight but it was comfortably on and its never happened before .. I don't really know what material it's made of tbh.. has this happened to anyone before ?

When I washed my arm it came off (the green mark not the arm 🤭😂)

Just means the jewellery has tarnished due to oxidation & its transferred onto your skin. You can clean the jewellery item with vineger/ baking soda or rubbing alcohol.

I made a COPPER bracelet in metal work at school once and had a green wrist within days.Glitterandgold..you're right it's oxidation.

Good news that your arm is still attached!

As Glitterandgold said, a clean with baking soda should sort it out.

More likely that the gilding has worn off allowing the copper based alloy that the bracelet is made of (that's your green ) to appear on your arm . Last thing you want to do is use vinegar (an acid !! ) to clean it -that will only accelerate the process 🙄.
