This would certainly help take your mind of COVID-19. If I was a resident in that area I'm not sure I'd want to drink the tap water again. This sounds like something out of a horror film or an episode of The X-Files.
This microbe was also responsible for ending public bathing in the Roman Baths in Bath after a young girl died there in 1978.
Thank you for the link. The BBC article was missing a lot of information. It's tragic that a young boy has died. I hope they find the source soon.
I think that there might have been a brain eating microbe in the wine that I was drinking last night. Feels like it this morning, anyway.
if water dangerous we might have to all drink beer it's what they did centuries ago. I'm willing to try
I never heard of it in bath but that was year I was born so....
Just hope they don't have bottled water rations in supermarkets
Lol yes, it would certainly would ‘take your mind off’ most things There was one time a colleague told me about there being tiny shrimp-like creatures coming out in the tap water in a previous workplace - Thames water investigated and said it was still perfectly safe to drink! I guess it’s fine if you’re not a vegetarian
Has anyone seen the recent film Dark Waters which is about DuPont contaminating a towns water supply?
gerrykelly25 I haven't seen it yet, but it's something I wanted to watch. I do like Anne Hathaway, Mark Ruffalo.
ACR it’s definitely worth a watch. I wasn’t aware of this story. It’s shocking and the two actors you mentioned are brilliant.
