lornaae Another vote for Start rescue from me as you get a good overall level of cover at a decent price , Currently I pay about £34 per year for Rescue, Recovery & Home start .

Mango4 glad to hear another good vote for Start Rescue! If you don’t mind how did you get it for that price?

lornaae Bought it about 4 years ago and they give a no claims bonus each year . As its a Start Rescue NCB it doesn't carry over to another provider , so each year at renewal when I have compared it's been the cheapest . It may also be that I have a fairly newish car .

As I say I can't vouch for how good they are in practise as I've never had to call them out.

Golfforall Mango4 are you still using Start Rescue? Do you have any experience negotiating renewal price with them? They’ve quoted me £59.12 for my renewal

lornaae Yes I still am . Wasn't impressed with the renewal price (including no claims bonus ) , so got a new policy with them (via TCB ) which ended up much cheaper . Sadly last year certain LD Hunters were not comparing like with like .

lornaae No I'm not as I have a Ford vehicle now they are giving me Free AA breakdown cover for the year each time I have a service with them.

That’s amazing! Well done I ended up going with Start Rescue and it was £59.99 for complete UK breakdown cover and home start, £25 is amazing! Ill be sure to check confused.com next year
