What ages are the people in your group? Has anyone got any special interests? Are you on a budget? How far you willing to travel from your home?

So much in the UK and weather seems to be improving. I'd definitely think about what you really enjoy and how you can integrate that in your holiday. Cornwall is beautiful and gets some decent weather, lots of lovely towns and villages to explore plus beaches and a lot of Celtic history. Some decent tourist attractions down there like the Eden Project and some great cycle routes.

Depends where you are and how far you want to go but anywhere near the coast is nice for a little beach break, ie Weymouth, Cornwall, Tenby. Caravan holidays are a good option for this

Caz2 Yeah! Nice for a little weekend away and you can pick somewhere that has things close that interest you eg beach, farm, mountains

Center Parcs is very popular with lots of activities indoors and outdoors. More for if you have a budget at the higher end.

Cant go wrong with a holiday park- NOT pontins though, theyve gone way downhill! Try Butlins or Haven, particularly if your taking kids,or grandmas.😁

Haven Yarmouth if you have kids. There are two sites that are very good. My kids love it there and the beaches are good.

I enjoy visiting National Trust properties and wonderful gardens. You would find it hard to beat some of the welsh beaches but you don’t necessarily get the best weather.

Everyone has said Cornwall and Devon are great places to visit, but they get very busy and it’s far to get to, and the prices of places to stay get hiked up significantly

It obviously depends where you are of course in the UK but I wouldn't say it was a huge journey for a significant percentage of the UK population, factor in a few interesting stops along the way, i.e. make the journey down and on the way back part of the holiday. I'm only about 15 miles from the Devon border so could walk or cycle there if I had to.

Compared to going by plane abroad surely much easier. As for cost lots of options at different price points and going slightly off season could save a lot of money, early September can be cheaper and still some decent weather. Not much of a journey for me because I'm in Somerset and

BonzoBanana you’re lucky. I wish i were closer, but trains are about 8 hours with about 3 or 4 changes (if they run), and driving is about 5-6 hours without traffic, so it’s too much of a hassle, so I tend to go abroad 😎

Always find Haven Holiday sites good value for money and plenty of them scattered around the country with a good choice of different types of accommodation that suit all budgets.

Cornwall, Devon areas are nice. Beach and plenty to see and do. Northumberland is nice as well they have Alnwick castle which is a lovely day out you can spend the full day there and also beamish museum which isn’t to far and that’s other good day out well worth visiting the two
