It's so cold this week. Anyone else feeling it?
Before I could do without central heating and just warm wool clothes. Now I really have to use blanket...
Trying to go without heating this winter as a test.
Trying to keep heating costs low is OK. But trying to go without heating altogether can be very dangerous. (especially for the elderly). Many elderly should remember that the £200 winter fuel allowance is not intended to be used for spending on other things.
The £200 will cover all my energy costs over the coldest months.
deepcore I wasn't replying to YOU I was speaking generally. You said you were going to try to go without heating all winter (I was asked what I thought of this), and I said it could be dangerous especially for the elderly.
davidstockport I know, I'm just saying generally that I'm not even halfway to retirement, in response to the elderly comment mate.
We have a woodburner and have been running that most evenings, supplementing with our heating when necessary as well -feeling the cold badly this year!
its so hard getting out of bed now i always put the hairdryer on to keep me warm until the heating kicks in my mum always used to do it when I was little and I’ve picked it up from her
