any ideas for making the humble brussel actually tasty this Christmas? no one seems to like them and I would like to change that
My chef likes to use a knob of butter, it's really that simple. Nothing fancy about preparation either, boiled or steamed is more than adequate to maintain all the vitamins.
Halve them and steam them in a microwave bag for 1 min. Then toss them in a pan with butter, garlic and sliced mushrooms until they colour. (not heavy on the garlic!)
That sounds good. I did them last week and first fried up bacon bits until crisp then tossed the cooked drained Brussels in with the bacon.
lol I must be the only one who doesn't mind them plain and simple as they are? I do have chilli sauce with everything
