Busses Prices
Money Saving
What do people think of the prices of bus passes? And the fact their increasing?
In London they’ve been frozen at £1.50 for the past few years, which would be good value if the buses could go anywhere - most of the time you’re stuck in traffic and would get about faster on foot. A few months ago I paid near £5 for a return bus ticket with Arriva and I thought it was extortionate, but then I did the journey and I’d actually say it was money well spent. The bus drivers are nicer too
wow good its frozen surrounding areas for f London can be so expensive 2 stops down the road is nearly a pound!! And bus passes are creaping up to the over £400 mark!!
RiannonWood I guess in that instance, it’ll cost £1.50 in London even if it’s 2 stops down the road as well, which is terrible considering the distance covered
In my area you can get a ticket called a ZigZag, £6.50 and you can travel anywhere across the region, which is about 3 counties so very good value, if you get an ordinary return it is £7
It's £3.90 to go into town return where I live and over £5 return to go into the next town (I haven't done that since the last price increase so I'm not sure how much it is exactly). I think it is getting silly. It's too long to walk into town really as it takes about 40 minutes saying that I have done it when I really have been broke.
