Do You Buy Manuka Honey?
Ask a Question
Do you buy manuka honey? If so, where from? And what brand?
I’ve always bought the Steens brands whenever I see it on offer, preferably UMF 15, although it’s so expensive (currently over £30 on amazon, and £25 in Sainsbury’s) I’ve dropped down to UMF 10 as I’m sure the difference isn’t that noticeable, especially as all I am doing with it is eating and drinking it
no it's too expensive, and I have no real need for it. It is meant to do great things, like most superfood, but it is too pricey for me to buy into it
I know what you mean. When I first started buying it, it was about £10 cheaper, and even then I thought it was expensive (will never forget how the eyes of the woman at the checkout in Waitrose popped out after she scanned it through - she couldn’t believe how expensive honey could be)
Yes, I usually buy it from Holland & Barrett when it's on offer. They currently have a half price flash sale on selected jars - https://www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/food-drink/honey-jams-spreads/honey/manuka-honey/#t=skupromo_flash-sale&icmp=OF_SLO_2_P8_flash
Thanks for letting me know, I’ll have a look. The only problem I have with their manukas is I don’t know which ones are good
It's all a big con, a bit like snake oil.
But did you know that honey is the only foodstuff that will never go off?
