Buying Items via Fb Then Getting Refund Advice

Ask a Question

I am starting to see a few deals such as this one https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/freebies/free-apple-slicer-facebook-9062

where you buy it then submit info for a refund Are these deals safe to use and if they are why do you pay rather than just signing up for free? Thank you.

Hi danbyk 🙂

I haven't any direct experience with this so I'll let other members contribute their knowledge.

But as a heads up you've found another area where we need to update our guidelines 🙈 As I understand it these sellers are essentially paying for reviews - so you order the product, leave a review then they say they'll refund you. I guess it depends on the individual seller as to whether or not they keep their promise and send you back the cash.

It's actually against Amazon's terms of service to pay for reviews - I believe it can end up with the person leaving the review getting their account suspended/disabled. So because of that we shouldn't really let it be shared on LD.

I am really getting hooked on LD so am just trying to figure out what is worth the effort/risk. I think I'll just stick to the everyday stack deals and offers 😊 Thank you for all your help today it is much appreciated.
