Buying Poundland Gifts

Other

Hello everyone, I wanted to know everyone’s view on whether its okay to buy gifts at the poundshop.

I think its okay, some people are on a budget, and the poundshops offer a great selection these days. However I know some people who are strongly against it. What do you think? What amazing gifts can be made from poundshop items?

I think the secret is to wrap pound shop gifts as expensive looking as you can. Lots of ribbons and nice paper. Sometimes it's the anticipation that you remember rather than what's contained in a gift.

Poundland's recently re-released Twin Peaks chocolate bar, available in milk or white chocolate, is huge and great value for money. I'd be happy to get one (or two) for Christmas. I'm not that close to a Poundland, but I made a special journey to pick up some. There were also queues outside some stores on the day it arrived back in stock with people eager to get hold of a bar.

As soon as I clicked on this thread, I just knew that you would be on here mentioning chocolate. One of these days, you will wake up looking like a chocolate bar. 🍫 πŸ˜‹

I would much prefer to shop to my budget so if I were to receive gifts from Poundland I would be just as happy as if they were from any shop as the gift giver has still put thought in and been kind enough to treat me.

I think Poundland is great for craft items so even with a low budget you can buy craft supplies and make a personalised gift which in my opinion is always wonderful to receive 😊

Not a bad idea. For example if u need to buy Secret Santa and there are so many choices there, you an fill a big bag with things.

I'll buy stocking fillers from the pound shop -they're good for sweets and nail varnishes and bits. Every year without fail my in-laws buy me a smellies set from Poundland and it's so obvious that that's where it's from. Mind you they hate me (and me them) so I wouldn't be at all surprised if they pick out the cheapiest looking thing they can find πŸ˜‚ Probably sound ungrateful but we don't see them and I'd just as soon they didn't bother - it's one of these real I'm-obliged-to-buy-for-you-but-I-don't-want-to gifts!

I don't see why not. Quality is always more important than quantity, and you can get some really good quality stuff from pound shops. Besides, some of the people with the smallest budgets have the largest of hearts. ❀️
