Buying School Uniforms Cheaply

Money Saving

Some info about getting school uniforms https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-49090913

I remember buying my own school uniform as a kid, and was always able to get it very cheaply from the high street instead of the official uniform shops. Nowadays, the supermarkets seem to be a good place to look, as well as the discounters

It really hard to get cheap uniform for high school today where they have to wear blazers with logos on our high school logo is on everything even socks with my primary children I just get asda plain clothing but it all adds up I tend to find that the parents whos kids are in the branded clothes are the ones given the school grants am not dissing the parents who can't work due to health reasons but I know a load that are just too lazy and they walking around in designer clothes so should be available to all or none at all same with school meals hard working families struggle today and it's really not fair that's my rant for the day 😂 the primary price are abit off mind I can do a full uniform including coat and bags for 100 max and these parents get a 200 grant

ah yes, secondary school uniforms - I was supposed to have a blazer, but I didn’t and just got the jumper instead. The first jumper was the official school jumper with the crest. Then I just didn’t bother with the jumper. And nor did my peers as they just wore navy jumpers with the Ralph Lauren polo or YSL logos on them - yet the argument was they couldn’t afford the official uniform. So many kids had an issue with the official uniform, the school stopped enforcing the rules

I get most of mine from Asda it's really affordable and I can get it all in one place and not have to go here there and everywhere to find stuff. They sell blazers there for £15 and if I brought them directly from the school they are £30 I just cut the badge off my kids old ones and sew them on the Asda ones .

Yes that’s definitely a cheap way round the rules 😊 The supermarkets are great for the uniform basics 👍
