What Do You Call "Sleep" in Your Eyes?

Ask a Question

This morning I woke up with "sand" in my eyes, this is what my Mum called it, from Mr Sandman send me a dream, make it the cutest ... She only used to say that part of the lyrics

I have always called it this, what do you call it?

I looked it up and the correct name is Rheum

When I was a kid, I thought The Sand man came and sprinkled sand on your eyes when you slept to bring you Good dreams. The imagery is so much nicer than a snotty eye πŸ˜ƒ

If a female wakes up with it in her eyes, it is known as fairy dust but if a male has it then it is called fairy crap.

I like fairy dust it's along the same lines as what I thought The Sand Man was, as a kid I used to read a lot of Enid Blyton & loved the Faraway Tree series πŸ˜€

I was always told it was poop and if you were nice that day it would be fairy poop and if you were bad it would be cinderellas stepmothers. Always got me to wash my face in the morning too πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
