Canary Islands - worth Visiting?

Has anyone visited the Canary Islands and can say whether theyre worth the trip? They look lovely in photos but don't want to spend lots of money if it's not lovely once we are out there.
I really enjoyed visiting the Canary Islands, but prefer the smaller islands La Gomera and El Hierro to Tenerife.

I've not been to Las Islas Canarias but I've heard and read it's a really nice and cozy place. In a way, it's even like visiting Latin American countries as a lot immigrated to Tenerife.
Yet another part of Spain that's pretty autonomous and almost like a country in itself.
By the way, Andorra is a beautiful country and well worth visiting. 
And no, it doesn't belong to Spain.
The Canary Islands are a dream come true. Great weather and amazing views. Worth a visit at least once in your lifetime.
