Cant Understand Why Long Queues outside Sports Direct Today
In the News
Saw post earlier about shops re opening & comments about long queues outside Primark, which is understandable as not online & much cheaper than elsewhere.
However Sports Direct is online. Heard Security tEllington customers they might not get in & one said they’d risk it as was desperate to shop there.
It seems to me that despite lockdown, job losses, furlough, people seem to have a lot of money to spend. How can anyone be desperate to shop in person anywhere at present.
No idea, still food shopping for me & the odd DIY. Have bought other things online during lockdown. Queue was sooooo long. Think it’s more of a social activity for some
Lynibis because furlough means you still getting money in while expenses are really low. My brother whose furloughed hasn't spent any money on fuel, gym, eating out, dates etc etc. Other people will be the same. Now things are opening up they can actually spend money on stuff other than groceries and DIY
They don't want to miss the 50% that quite rightly is being given to NHS Staff.
Good time for everyone to get some of there Xmas Prezzies early.
Nothing like the buzz of going shopping.
My daughter has already started with buying from Harrods Sale.
Didn’t know about 50% NHS discount. At least Mike Ashley is doing something good. Agree, can beat physical shopping, but with COVID still around I’ll wait
Either queues is not needed on the first day of opening. That many people are not desperate for clothing, i would be very happy if sports direct completely folded. I live in Newcastle so Mike Ashley could do with getting launched into space without a suit
i think its nuts, i personally didn't go and wont be until the queuing system isn't happening due to these long waits lol
