Can I ask what one you purchased? We nearly purchased the Elddis Avante supreme but we got let down. Can I ask about the water situation? Can you attached a long hose from the caravan to a main water supply or can you only use a refillable canister?

eyeballkerry we bought a static Abi Horizon and we are on a pitch in a holiday park and the water is included in the site fees.

Ventilate it often, do regular checks for ware and tear.

It depends on the type of caravan to what needs doing.

Clean it every so often.

Always check tyres and lights regularly.

Light weight awnings are a saver, the weight of a normal one is heavy which will cost more fuel.

Make sure weight is balanced when traveling.

We never stored ours anywhere too costly, kept it oj the drive all year round.

Any repairs do them yourself saves money.

Buy as little furniture as its space taker, try to find lightweight compact stuff.

eyeballkerry I can imagine it's popular currently.

Our 1st one we got given to us, the 2nd and 3rd we bought 2nd hand, buy as you see, be cautious of that we found issues with the 2nd one, luckily my dad is cracking at diy so was good as new.
