Caravan Memories
Ask a Question
Great memories of holidays in caravans and a couple of friends before covid bought one to explore the uk so considering getting one in the future.
What memories do you have?
Don’t talk to me about caravans. I live in a lovely road and one of my neighbours has decided to put his wacking great big caravan on his drive, it’s a real eye sore. But I diverse, i had have great holidays in caravans on site, where they belong. Many times in the East of England and the Isle of Wight.
Funny you created this topic. We saw a caravan parked in someone's front garden during our walk yesterday which promlted us to discuss caravans. My granddad owned a field which had an old caravan so we'd go play there when he was chopping wood.
G0501 love the idea of a caravan in a field, no problem with that. It must have so much fun as a child.
I remember a static caravan holiday as a child and have great memories of it. I absolutely loathe them on the roads though and there is nothing worse than being behind one in high winds when the whole unit swings it's rear end like a buxom milkmaid. (you know you tried to picture that )
Unfortunately my memories are being stuck behind slow travelling cars towing their caravans because the driver is on route on unfamiliar roads.
I used to go away once or twice a month with my parents with the Sterling Caravan Owners Club. Great memories, but the best holidays were always in the big statics that were based on site rather than a touring caravan. I'll never forget the luxury of being able to have a proper shower!
