Be Careful When Ordering a BARGAIN

Other

Recently i fell foul of so called "bargains " from a well known site (think of rain forest). Majority of items are cheap imports from China that you dont realise they are Image and are NOT as the picture illustrates. My recent bedroom rugs came... i had not noticed the size in description as picture showed me a plush bedroom rug reduced from £19.99 to £4.00 ..

I ordered 2, 1 for my daughter. They arrived yesterday and basically they're only big enough, just, to put in front of my downstairs wc sink. I noticed another one today, very similar. When checking description its 30cm ..so 10cm smaller than mine. Also I've had watches i ordered for christmas. They arrived weeks after and not working. The companies say they'll refund. I was offered to keep my toilet mats and they'd refund me 10%. That was a laugh..I'd basically get back 98 pence for the 2 "RUGS" instead of the £9.98 paid. The watch i ordered for my mum luckily i got a full refund for. Just be careful. I was not as vigilant as i usually am, so just want to remind you to read the descriptions.

If the description had the measurements, you're lucky to have got a refund. Photos can be deceptive, but make sure you read descriptions before buying stuff.

roflol this is funny, they show you a large rug and then send you a piddly little small thing an all because you didnt see the measurements. I've been taken in too mate, don't worry it happens to us all.

that is what happened to me i ordered a bath rug, and this tiny little rug turned up, from ambrose wilson then they have the cheek to ask for a review, i mean what can you say.

That's awful...I'm still in dispute with our rainforest friends....waited ages on 2 products coming from the same place....INFACT I could of rowed a boat to China quicker!!....when I got them ...there were 2 exposed cables that didnt go into anything...so I wrote a review and it was explained that I had used obscene language

Crap

Garbage

Which to me isn't that bad...

So I had to go get a label printed myself ...pay the packaging back to China and I'm still waiting to hear about my refund.

So like your self ....I'm going to be vigilant about what I'm buying.

I was always told if it looks too good to be true then usually you get what you paid for!

Generally, sure. But then there are misprices, and as deal hunters we're more used to getting great deals so it's more likely for us to get something at an unbelievable price.

I had this happen to me once with a bag. When it arrived it was so small it could only hold some sandwiches! I gave it to my mum and she gave it to my dad, who does indeed use it as a lunch bag, so I guess it worked out.

Thank you for letting us know and reminding us that we need to take care when purchasing a bargain. I usually read they full description if all is provided and I usually stay away from the cheap items as I know they are not alway great quality

I ordered a charger on eBay a few months ago for my DS lite, in the title it said DS lite charger but in the description it said that it was a different type of charger so I contacted them and was offered 50% refund. I know I should have read the description fully but was annoying as they put that in the title so I assumed that's what I was getting

Whenever I ordered any of these cheap deals that come from China , I am always disappointed in the item received, but when you consider the price paid, I don't really feel cheated, even thou it's not what I wanted/expected.

Sometimes it is the sellers fault, because they do not write down the product well...

Happened with me before...I ordered tulip bulbs and they sent me seeds from China...
