Cash Back Apps?

Ask a Question

Anyone know any trusted cash back apps? being trying to get my head around how to use them too, eg do I purchase through the cash back app/ site or do I purchase it first and enter some receipt code ect?

Does anyone know where to get to the page where they show the " welcome gift" for new customers?

I have Topcashback (very good) but tend to use Shopmium the most because it's for food - it's easy to use and very quick to reimburse. You can load up the offers you think you'll use then purchase and claim your cash back by taking pics, through the app. They ask that you leave a review and I tend to be quick on that to get it done and out of the way. I've always been paid within hours and never over 24hrs.

Going to have a look and give a go to them, heard some scare stories of a few people waiting weeks and it never going into their account.

Both topcashback and quidco are useful. Get both - they sometimes have different offers than each other.

I get really fed up - Top cash back owe me money from last year but they won't answer they blinking emails. I joined on recommendation from here, but, you get nowhere when you try and claim money back if it's not showing.

After reading loads of positive comments on here about TopCashback, I thought I was alone in having a negative opinion on them.

There was this offer last Easter for up to (I think) £5 cashback on Easter eggs. I am still to this day waiting to be paid back by them.

RegularComper90 with you and CaroleBallard and if I ever get to the stage where everything can be cashed out, I am dropping it. Yes it's free (apart from the £5 membership they conned out of me) but their lack of customer service is atrocious

I use Quidco now.

I used to use Top Cashback, but a couple of times a purchase didn't track and they didn't seem the least bit interested in helping me.

It was for a large purchase too, so was around £30 Cashback I missed out on.

In answer to the original question, there are two types of cashback site. The ones like Topcashback and Quidco are for online purchases and you go through their sites to the product website to make your purchase. Some sites do take a while to process cashback but I have found that missing claims are usually dealt with well. I only had problems with Matalan. It is always worth clearing cookies before going onto the cashback sites in case you have been to the other sites directly before. Regard the cashback as a bonus and don’t take it into account when comparing prices. That way you won’t be disappointed if it doesn’t track.

Then there are the groceries cashback sites like Shopmium, Green Jinn and Checkoutsmart. On these you buy the product first then snap the receipt and sometimes scan the barcode to claim. Always check details carefully as the offer is usually quite specific on flavour, pack size etc. Quidco and Topcashback also have grocery offers (Clicksnap and Snap and Save). My advice would be to get used to one site first then try the others. It is a time-consuming but rewarding task!

I use Quidco and it’s fab! A lot of retailers on there and the offers do change sometimes to do exclusives for 24hrs only etc! I have had a few issues with not tracking but they've been really good when I’ve contacted them and sorted it within a week

I haven't used Topcashback since early last year so a bit shocked to learn that there are so many still waiting on payment. I thought they had a reliable reputation. (grateful for the heads up though)

I've used Topcashback for quite a few years now and have had a couple of problems with things not tracking but raised a support ticket and it has been resolved really quickly. Other than that I find it a brilliant site to use and have received a lot of money payouts, sometimes I exchange the money for a gift card if a good deal on offer.

I have recently opened an account with Quidco but payouts on there seem to be a bit lower and take a long time to actually become payable so will stick with Topcashback.
