CeX Selling PS5 Consoles for Nearly a Grand

I know there are loads on eBay for similar prices, just didn't expect a retailer to go down the same route. Capitalism, I guess.

1 thing I have learned is in times of crisis there are some companies who break out and become rip off merchants. Problem is when times return to normal they should be turned into the sort of store whre they pay you to go inside as people dont touch them with a bargepole.

It's what CEX do, they sell at what the market will accept and some people are prepared to pay sky high prices for a PS5. It's just the madness of a console launch, the reality is there are few games to justify buying one now and early editions of hardware are often the most problematic and lastly they are priced at their highest.

I think CEX is an excellent shop but I mainly buy stuff there that is dirt cheap, the other end of the scale. Items they are clearing out very cheaply. I don't think its anything to get angry about its just supply and demand.

If idiots want to pay it then why not ? As they say "A fool and their money are soon parted ".

Seems good business to me - buy from one idiot for £650 sell to another idiot for £815 .

It keeps people in work I suppose. Grainger Games went down the pan maybe because they didn't do stuff like this.

If it makes you feel better, I sold them a laptop that had a problem with the screen coating and despite having it to inspect, they gave me the full money they pay for one. That would have been a loss maker in the end.

Even if there were any available at the recommended retail price I wouldn't buy at the moment. £815? Not a chance. It's supply and demand though and someone will go for it. It's a familiar story with console launches.
