Competitions - if I Change Phone Number Will I Miss Winnings?

Hi All, just wanted to check if anyone knows:, I am changing phone and number, but have entered with old number which i will close, so I am thinking will I miss any winnings if there will be any, because i have new number?
Of course I have stated email address everywhere. If someone would give some info - that would be very much appreciated. Thank you
That is pretty difficult for anyone to assume. Some companies inform you by phone some by email etc, I know some Radio station competitions specifically state that they will move onto another winner if you fail to answer the phone. There must be the chance of you missing out but I wouldn't dwell on it too much if it is something that you can't help as if you do miss out you will probably never know.
Just to add I won a 50inch TV and Sound system last year from Capital FM and I got a letter asking me to phone them because they had been trying to phone me about it but couldn't get through,although I had no calls from them and never changed number.I really think it is down to the particular company on how they contact you.
