Charity Shopping - Ever Got Something Designer for Cheap?
Ask a Question
This last year ive really got into charity shopping, i usual just get books for my daughter but recently found some bargain bits, new with tag topshop jeans for £2.50 are my best bargain so far. Id love to know if anyones had any high end designer bits for a few quid?
I love charity shops, Iv found several bargains over the years. Iv found you generally have to dig through a load of tat to find the gems but designer pieces Iv picked up are Laura Mercia bath & body set for 99p not too long ago. Also found a red Moschino belt for £3.50 a Ted Baker bag for £4.00 & Ted Baker dress that was new with tags for £8.50. However my favourite find that iv had so much wear from was a brand new pair of M&S shoes that cost £2.00. Hard to find designer items in charity shops these days tho because they tend to know what they've got & either list on ebay or price ridiculously highly
Glitterandgold welldone on your finds, do you use the same shops or try different ones?x
LottieMyya I do tend to mostly look in the same shops, Theres a couple near me I know often have good items but its mostly just luck, being in there at the right time!
I've not do e much charity shopping but the best I've had is a red baker tennis dress for £3.50 and a kipling bag for £4.50. My friends mum volunteers at one and she's had some really good guys including hotters shoes
Got some Louboutins for £3 brand new, too high to walk in but had to have them. Then felt guilty, sold them and gave the money to the charity shop. Bloody conscience. Had quite a few Julien Mcdonald dresses and Irregular Choice bags and shoes too. Try to avoid them now though as I ended up with a clothes moth infestation after buying a dress in one
I went through a phase of having a hunt in the charity shops, mainly for books, but I've never managed to find designer goods or another treasure. It must be a great thrill to find a hidden treasure.
Get charity shop designer bargains a lot near me,my daughter once went with me and got a prada bag for 50p...( i was so jealous)
Got my baby boy some gap jeans for £1. not exactly designer but I’m not one from buying top brands Anyway. Live shopping at the charity shop these days. My kids grow out of clothes so quickly and I spend a fortune in next. I went along to the charity shop and you can see the next clothing on the rails as they are great quality and wash up nicer. So I bought a lot Of them
I'd love to know where you could get stuff like this for free to people on low income I love all stuff but can never afford now I can't work due health reasons x
Loislane Facebook market place is brilliant, lots of "free in..." what area you are in groups on Facebook. Also ebay have the odd free to collector too. Not sure what bits your after but maybe worth a look x
Not a designer clothing item but someone I know got the whole Horrible Histories book set for a tenner and when she looked online the price was over £50 for the exact same book set.
