Childhood vs Adulthood
Ask a Question
Is there anything you started to do late in life that you hated as a child? For me it is reading, my parents didn't encourage me to read but I started a few years ago and I love it every night before going to bed.
I never used to like dressing up in girly clothing when I was little, unlike now. I was such a tomboy that my mum gave up putting me in nice clothing as it always got ruined when I roughhoused or climbed trees with the boys
I didn’t learn to ride a bike as a kid - wish I had as the fear of falling as an adult is far worse than the fear of falling as a kid
I didn't learn to swim until I was an adult as my Mum was terrified of the water and made us promise not to go out of our depths as we lived near to the sea. I love swimming but even now I only like swimming in pools
Not so much child but more young adult to older adult-
I was 21 when I had my first child and I absolutely hated knitted baby wear, hats, cardigans, boots etc, had my second child at 28 and absolutely lived all the knot wear, not sure if I thought it was old fashioned with my first but loved knit wear on my second xx
Washing , I hated it as a kid , gave it up as a young man but realised later in life it was probably the polite thing to do ..
As a child, I disliked walking. I would take every opportunity to avoid it especially in winter - but also because I had urticaria (a terrible obscure allergy) and didn’t know it. But now I find it very nice and relaxing when I’ve taken my medication.
Reading as well.Didst like to read when was child, but now I like it,and encouraging my kids read as well as I am good example for them.
