Childish eBay Seller and His Responses

I bought a product from this seller recently, but I somewhat regret as it's another one of those "New" items though since it's a good price I'm willing to let it slide as long as it's in good condition.
That said, reading the replies he gave to his negative feedback reviewers felt like a 9 year old on YouTube.
He mostly has positive feedback at 98% so that doesn't affect him until someone actually sees it.
What does reading feedback has to do with a faulty product? Nothing. He's a bit shallow.
If he is unable to take criticism as well as compliments and talk to his customers in a professional manner, then he shouldn't be a seller.
I noticed its an ebay thing,i bought something (not from this guy) and they asked me for 'feedback',i was being honest,and id had some problems with it,so i said so,but i got hounded& hounded by seller until i changed it to a 'nice' comment as they insisted it 'harmed their sales' if i didnt! So much for free speech!
Caz2 All the more reason to criticise that seller then. I doubt they would talk to their customers that way face to face.
Thats how hes got 98% positive feedback- they all hound the buyer until they change to a positive view! Ive decided that if i ever buy anything on ebay in future i wont bother sending any feedback afterwards,good or not,as i cant be bothered with the hassle.if the item turns up& looks ok,& it works,or is good for purpose,then thats it,im done.
Caz2 Just goes to show that positive reviews are to be taken with a pinch of salt. That seller sounds like a weirdo. 
RegularComper90 well,maybe ALL the sellers don't hound you,but a lot do& yes some are a bit odd.
The only comfort that you can take from people like this ....is to remember never to be like it.
I'm positive in HIS head he's ok.
