Children Boys v Girls
Ask a Question
Just for fun those with children in the family or even at work whats the best thing about having a boy/girl? Do you secretly have a preference....?
I didn't have any preferences but can say I was delighted to go overboard with the pink when I found out my 3rd child was a girl. She was definitely harder work as a baby than either of my boys and didn't like to sleep for longer that 20 minutes, lol.
This is what my mum said about me and said I was totally opposite of my brother who use to sleep through- he is now an early bird and I am a night-owl!
I had two boys and didn't mind as I had 3 sisters. As I had them young I became a gran at 40 to a beautiful girl so feel I had the best of both worlds. I saw her every weekend and over the years we have done theatre trips, parks, shopping, meals, cooking, cinema and so on. She is now 25 and always says I am her second mum. However, I love having sons who are big and strong and who are so loving and kind. They are always looking out for me, bring flowers at every visit, take me for meals on special occasions and diy around the house. Ok, don't get the girly lunches and shopping trips with daughters but both daughters in law are fantastic.
what a lovely mix I am quite jealous - bet its really nice having grandchildren around at that age as you get to see them grow up and hopefully see your great grandchild - lush
I only have the one child. I didn't have a preference as to what I had, just as long as they were healthy. A lot of our family wanted a boy as my husband was the last male of the family so it was his job to keep the family name going!! My granny and mil both told me that boys were easier, my mum would argue otherwise! My mil had sons but says I am the daughter she never had so she has the best of both worlds!
I work in a school and it isn't down to boy or girl but to individual personalities. You might prefer your son because he treats you better than your daughter.
I'm sure there are things that are wonderful and different having both. I just feel lucky to have my son and feel privileged to call myself his mum.
I have found boys so much easier to deal with ! Dont get me wrong i love all mine the same but boys are usually in your face naughty where as girls are slightly more devious
Boys are so much easier only one I have and rest girls and I would have house full boys any day no back chat quiet itβs scary with girls as they get older and my last one if come first I would definitely had stopped at one
only been able to have one child myself (my daughter)
i was over the moon when she had my grandson so that i could finally buy for a boy
also i find boys are much more loving
Ive got one of each and i deffo find my little girl easier. Although my son is 13 and going through the teenage phase and she is nearly 2. Im sure she will be a nightmare when she is a teenager aswell
