Children Forced to Eat Standing up after School Removes Chairs

In the News

Schools never stop surprising public.

"A pupil at a school in County Durham says year 10 and 11s have been forced to ‘eat standing up’ after chairs were removed from their dining area.

Some at Seaham High School are said to be skipping lunches and becoming ‘increasingly tired’ due to an apparent ban on seating during lunch and break times."

What?! This is awful. Schools are starting to become very controlling, dictating what pupils can and can’t do (mostly very petty things). Think they need to focus on setting appropriate boundaries etc and give them their bloody chairs back!

Seems pretty mad to me, I think most of us would prefer to sit down to eat given the choice and surely it's a more controlled safer environment if pupils are sat down at tables rather than stood up .
