Children's Mental Health Week 1-7th Feb

I just wanted to highlight this campaign, it may be a good way to start the conversations to see how young people are feeling

My boys been doing things for it in lessons. Might be good idea to try something with my daughter as she is getting moody (even for a teenager)

I'd best say nothing about mental health , most here think I'm mental and unhealthy to begin with .. Image

During Covid a lot of people are suffering, be it from bereavement, isolation of financially. People are under a lot of pressure which can effect your mental health. I know I am.

I thought people were a little more sensitive to this topic, enabling people to come out and openly say I suffer from depression (me) and it's a daily battle not to give into it.

As I have said previously I think you just get a kick out of winding people up, but you may actually upset someone, if you are having a bad day they could take things to heart. I know that I get upset by some of the reactions your comments attract. Although understanding why, and I'm then am reluctant to go and look at the topic again. I actively look for light hearted good news stories as the world seems to be very grim at the moment. Apologies for the rant. 😁

The reason I apologised is because no one likes to be lectured & I didn't want come across as being sanctimonious even to someone who is happy to be considered a troll mrgoggll

But why do you take pleasure in winding people up and saying things that deserve a 'telling off'. Are you capable of just taking part in a normal chat. You have also chased me off several topics and some of your gifs are gut wrenching!

Lynibis I've just muted him and his stupid gifs. I'll only see when people complain now, but I won't see the gifs 😁

G0501 yes I really should do that but I do get frustrated when I see replies to a post I can't see or comment on. Must exercise some willpower and ignore his posts from now on.

My son has been getting ‘emotion works’ activities this week from school. He is really struggling this time round i really hope people stick to the rules and he can get back to some social interactions soon.

Whilst is sad for anyone of any age, I find it particularly sad for children because they aren't currently able to do many of the things what children should be doing, and you are a child for a relatively short period of time. We may have been in this situation for only a year, but a year to a 5 year old is a lot more than it is to us. Hopefully, it won't be long now 'til they can safely go back to school and be with their mates playing in the playground.
