In the News

It sounds like a science fiction movie

Do you think china know more than they are letting on ?

They do have a history of hiding the truth

Lets hope its too far away to matter

telmel I can be rather vague at times lol. Just don't much take to the idea of Chinese 'well intended' missiles.

Sounds like we will be long dead before it arrives anyway. They will probably divert it so it hits the US or Japan or more likely the rocket will completely fail to launch into outer space and will blow up an area of Taiwan or Japan who they are in dispute with. I mean a few million have died because of China's obsession with eating weird meats from wild animals and the resulting pandemic this has caused I just can't have much faith in China doing much good for mankind. It's political system pretends to be communist but really its mixture of thugs and gangsters running the country with very low regards for human rights. Normal chinese people have very little rights and if you are not Chinese in China you are always at risk for false imprisonment etc.

You are totally right B in all you say , and as for them diverting the missiles towards the west you are on target 😉

I bloody hope it is too far to matter. Asteroids terrify me but I still torture myself by reading up on them. I have vivid dreams of them hitting - maybe 2-3 times a week. It's become the norm. Lmao 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Atomic weapons are 1940s technology, there is many scientific views that a technology based civilisation can only last so long before it destroys itself because the technology to destroy the civilisation will filter down over time to a much wider range of people who may have strange viewpoints, insanity or just the need to gain power. You just have to live your life and thats it. The world could be destroyed a few hundred years etc.

Looking out at the universe its pretty clear nothing lasts forever. Even in our milky way galaxy there is a super nova every 50 years and that would wipe out all the life on the planets orbiting it and likely all life on planets on nearby stars. Covid 19 could have been a virus with a longer incubation period with a much higher death rate that could have wiped out 99% of humanity. Imagine if it took 2 months to infect a body but always killed it host, that sort of virus would have decimated the human race and near impossible to stop. Maybe a virus that rewrote important code so that an organ like the heart couldn't heal itself but instead was weakened month by month as the heart replaced cells with incorrect cells.

Pointless worrying about such possibilities, just enjoy your health while you have it and savour existence.

Too true B , health and life expectancy has gone full circle , at one point we were all living longer as time progressed, now we have to fight to stay alive with one thing and another
