Is it your birthday, MrsCraig?

Hope that your hubby gives you lots of treats.

Afternoon lilyflower Hope you are well.

Just had a letter offering me a MRI on the 8th December. About time and all

Just waiting to get an appointment with the eye doctor now. Will have to chase the surgery up next week.

Have a good weekend everyone.

TheChimp yes it is my birthday today. He is currently in bed with a bad back so I'm looking after him, but he got me some lovely presents ☺

MrsCraig Presents good, bad back bad.

I've been quite lucky with my back, never really had any serious issues with it. MrsChimp, keeps pushing hers out though

TheChimp he has never had any issues with his back before, he thinks it is just a pulled muscle but it is really sore, he can barely move.

MrsCraig Poor MrCraig. The problem with bad backs is that there's no quick fix. I hope that it passes soon.

TheChimp pain killers have helped a bit but as you say, no quick fix. I hope it passes soon too, it's making him miserable

MrsCraig I use Deep Freeze, spray/gel/patches. The patches kept me comfortable on a 5 hour flight and I was able to walk at the end of it. I also use a wheat bag.

lilyflower my mum mentioned something about cold compresses, I will look into these, the patches would be good for him at work.

MrsCraig TheChimp sunny101 gerrykelly25 ShellyAnn Jasmine111 Ann1984 Lynibis trude76 Just back from a strained 18th Birthday meal, and OH is not sure why we were even invited, but he did is Granddad bit. On another note and the direction of Instagram comps if anyone wants to 'buddy up' or even just interact I'm @difficultlily 🙂

Nephew got sent to jail. He didn't go quietly though. He was shouting and swearing, he started throwing things around and if anyone went near him to try and soothe him he started throwing punches and spitting. I'll never play monopoly with him again!!

Good afternoon lilyflower

Shame about the birthday meal.

A day of rugby for me today. In-between, I will be cooking up a spaghetti carbonara for MrsChimp.

Nothing else to report.

Have a good day.

It's been one of those weeks so an old school friend sent me this - It certainly fits the bill so I'm passing it on 🙂

The whole world paused this morning. Do you know why? Because an 8 year old’s tank was empty.

The kids had already started their school day at their desks and I was preparing to leave for work when I noticed my littlest standing in the bathroom wiping his face.

I paused at the door and asked if he was okay. He looked up with tears silently dripping and shook his head. When I questioned if something happened, again he shook his head.

So I sat on the side of the tub and pulled him in my lap. I told him sometimes our heart tanks feel empty and need to be refilled.

He cried into my chest and I held tight.

I asked if he could feel my love filling him up?

A nod, and tears stopped...

I waited a minute...

‘Has it reached your toes yet?’

He shook his head no...

‘Okay man. We will take as long as you need. Work doesn’t matter right now. School isn’t important either. This right here, is the most important thing today, okay? Filling you back to the top. Is that good?’

*nods*

One more minute...

‘Is your heart full of mamas love now?’

‘Yeah...’

*looks in his eyes* ‘I see it shining in there, you’re full to the top, and you’re smiling!’

You may not be 8 - you may be 28, 38, 48 or whatever- but ALL of us run on empty just like he did. His week was so busy and so full and his little soul was just dry!

We all have to pause, and take a moment to refill with the good things. prayer, sunshine, laughter, friends, hugs. Refill your empty, or you’ll find those emotions (tears, anger, snappy words) overflowing with no reason why.

Take a moment. Refill. It’s the most important part of your day!

Morning @lulyflower and all

It's been pretty quiet here lately.

Lovely day in SW Wales although the wind is quite biting.

I made my postman jump this week when I went to the front door with nothing on.

I don't know what shocked him more, the fact that I was naked or the fact that I knew where he lived.

😐

Have a good day.

Hi TheChimp It has been quiet, I've sort of lost my oomph. How are you progressing with the eyes? 🙂

lilyflower Not the best tbh.

No one's sure what's going on. Got a MRI on Wednesday. Still waiting to see an opthalmologist.

I'm finding it very hard on LD atm because I'm finding very hard to read posts. And writing comments s is a nightmare.

I'm doing MrsChimp a head right in because I keep on asking her to read things

How are things with you? Been up to anything exciting?

TheChimp Not up to much, waiting for blood results which should have been back last wednesday! Today went to a Christmas Fair with my daughter - not very impressive and got frozen. I've cut right back on comps being very choosy and only doing website, Insta (@difficultlily) or FB.

lilyflower I thought that the first thing they'd do is send me for bloods as soon as this eye nonsense started, but they haven't.

I hope that yours come back ok.

I've always found Christmas fairs a bit expensive. When I say a bit expensive, I mean VERY expensive.

There was someone at ours selling a 'hamper' with 3 bits of ßcàbby cheeses and 3 minute chutneys in it for £25. It wasn't even a nice basket, but a cardboard box!
