Chocolate from the Good Old Days That You Don't Get Anymore

Other

Just seen a thread on here about the Dream white chocolate bar (now discontinued) made by Cadbury's. And this has given me the idea to start up this thread.

So what were some of your favourite chocolates back in the day which we sadly no longer get? As for me, I too loved Dream, but I also loved the Galaxy Truffles you'd find in the Celebrations tubs. Because they were so nice, they were always the first ones to go. πŸ™‚

I do like Galaxy chocolate.

Do you remember this, as I don't know anyone else who recalls it. It had the tag line 'I'll risk it for a Swisskit'.

Nux, Frys Turkish delight, Frys chocolate bars with different flavour in each segment. Cadbury used to do a bar of chocolate that incorporated the chocs from dairy box and you snapped each one off.

Sounds delicious.

You still get Fry's Turkish Delight, but it probably used to taste better and was also larger. πŸ™‚

Ah yeah I miss Dream and Galaxy Truffles. Do you remember Cadbury snaps? I wish they would bring back all these yummy treats...I suppose my diet isn't complaining though

There is also a lot of limited edition confectionery I wouldn't mind having again, such as Tayto Chocolate Bar with Cheese & Onion Crisps or Reese's Inside Out Peanut Butter Cups πŸ˜‹ 🍫

I haven't seen them for a long time, so they could very well have been discontinued. 😞

Iβ€˜m not a big chocolate fan, but I do recall really enjoying Wispa as a kid, and then I heard they discontinued them...but I believe they’re back? They don’t look the same though

We did not have much sweets when I was small, but there was a white chocolate. I do not remember the brand, it was great and it was the one we got most of the times....like Easter and Christmas

Galaxy had always been my favourite and they still do it πŸ™Œ My wife told me once that she saw a news report saying they had gone bust and all galaxy was being discontinued, i drove to asda and bought 50 bars for Β£50. She thought it was hilarious.

I remember as a child, going back decades, I used to love a bar called skippy. It had chewy toffee caramel type chocolate covered biscuit. Loved these, so chewy.
