My sister loves tea so I often get her whittard selections. I just asked her yesterday what she wanted for Christmas, and she said tea lol. The Christmas box is apparently really nice

Mick it might help if you could give us a rough spend. Beauty salon vouchers, cinema tickets, toiletries, bath pamper box. Meal vouchers, theatre tickets.

What about a new purse or maybe a handbag. I always try and get some ideas whilst in conversation with my sister 😍

Perhaps we could have a Birthday / Xmas gift section on Latest Deals that does not gain points for the poster ? Would save clogging up "Chat" ? It is surely totally bonkers that any member could be expected to help the poster without knowing the person , the budget , their likes - etc ,etc ,etc ?

In fact I find it pretty sad that members post these requests every day ! If you don't know what your relations would appreciate how are randoms on a shopping site expected to ?

Golfforall perhaps if you did not feel the need to put your two pence worth on every chat topic you might cheer up a bit and stop trying to annoy people

Mick82 That of course is your view , which I respect . I'm afraid if you do not know your budget , and of course we do not know your sisters (their hobbies or likes ) .

Perhaps think it through? Enjoy your points 😀

If you have no ideas why are you even reading the chat I have mentioned budget age and have had some very helpful replies so your point is absolutely stupid.ps unlike you points mean nothing to me I enjoy chatting with people you would not understand that because I doubt anyone ever enjoyed chatting to you

The main point of my comment (which you have chosen to ignore in your unseemly haste to criticise ? ) . We have 1 million plus members - just think if just 10% posted on Chat for ideas for presents for their nearest and dearest 😮- who random members obviously do not know ? Do you see my point ?

We would very soon have page after page of "gift suggestions" which would totally obliterate the whole "Chat forum" ?

Is it therefore so "two pence worth " for me to suggest that we have a separate "Gift suggestion " section , which members could either engage in or not ?

Have you really thought it through ? Is it really such an annoying suggestion ? - Be honest ?

Mick82 Unlike yourself I am not on here 24/7 nailing my flag to the wrong mast ? Perhaps spend a bit more time weighing up all the comments using your own intellect , rather than jumping to incorrect conclusions ? Perhaps then you may tell me what is wrong with my suggestion of a separate "Gift suggestion " section ? Which you have now had over 2 days to come up with ? Or do you have to wait for comments from others before you know what your opinion is ?

Golfforall I think my opinions on you and what you try to do are pretty clear and believe me I’m not on my own you are everything that is wrong with this site and you and people like you are putting people off staying here and becoming long term members. You probably behave like this because it’s the only way you can get people to interact with you on any level and as much as I dislike you I feel sorry for you more

Mick82 So you have no reply to my question ? Or even a comment on my suggestion ? But you have read the script provided by the usual suspects (The same 5 or 6 on every chat topic ) . Perhaps one day you will take the time to come to your own opinion ? Perhaps even realise that those 5 or 6 do not represent the views of the million + members ?

Not saying that my views represent the million + members either , but probably moreso than the 5 or 6 usual suspects ?- Just a thought .

Golfforall there is no point trying to have a intelligent interaction with you it’s just the same thing over and over and over it’s so dam boring I can’t take it ld won’t do anything about you and your like so I’ll just mute you then you can spew all the rubbish you want the fact you think someone disagreeing with you means they like intelligence says it all . Ps I’ll add pompous to your ever extending list of qualities.🤡

Mick82 That's excellent , Please note I feel little need to mute you or report you despite your numerous insults , after all a polite exchange of views is healthy ?😀 .

The fact you choose not to comment on a suggestion of mine (but prefer to insult me on this and other chat topics instead ) is totally your choice , no bother to me at all .

However I fear it does not show you in a good light (apart from maybe to those 5 or 6 usual suspects) ? Have a good night .

You've probably got sisters ranging from 40 to 50 who haven't a clue what to buy you for Christmas. Why not come to an arrangement with them that (if you wish) you will buy a present for yourself and they do likewise.

I came to this arrangement with my sister and other family members between thirty and forty years ago and all now agree it takes a lot of pressure off at Christmas, it doesn't stop us buying gifts for each other when we know the other actually needs something.

davidstockport your probably right about them being in the same boat you’re arrangement sounds perfect would suit me down to the ground but I doubt if they would agree they love Christmas and all that goes with it .I just love the dinner the rest I could do without

Whats her favourite store? Mayve a gift card or money. Gifts sets are good too does she have a favourite brand? Soap and glory are really good and i think they are 3 for 2 at boots (could be wrong on the 3 for 2 at boots)

I agree with gift sets, toiletries always come in handy. And sometimes things for the home make nice Christmas gifts, like scented candles.
