Christmas Present Wrapping?

I LOVE wrapping Christmas presents, but I just wondered if anyone had any different ideas for wrapping, I have started everyone off with my usual style of wrapping (in message below)..... brown postal paper, dried fruit and raffia..... more ideas please?????

That’s pretty! I’ve used newspapers in the past, but it’s hard work to find relevant articles for the receiver...and then there’s been times I spelt out their bands using letters from newspapers - a bit like a dodgy random note 
hspexy that’s interesting, I’ve used music sheets before too, usually bought from charity shops, for example.... Piano Christmas carols! Xx
That looks great. You've make me feel so lazy, I start off being very precise but towards the end the wrapping gets messier and messier as I get fed up so don't even bother with ribbon and tags, just put them in the sacks 
beccatavender well the secret is to only do certain ones like this! I obviously don’t do the grandchildren’s like this, so really it’s just a couple of friends, mother in law, and daughters. I start early too so I am able to spend time on them! Xxxxxx
Someone on here recently asked for ideas to use the freebie fabric samples. I suggested wrapping presents with them and tying with ribbon, I saw someone on a film give a present this way and it looked great.

I think you've pretty much got it down to a T lol I just use shop brought paper yours looks good
I always use brown paper as it’s recyclable unlike other wrapping paper. I often decorate it myself with stamps or paint
lornaae yes, even just white chalk pens look great, this is one my daughter did last year, so simple but looks lovely!!

Wow your presents are wrapped beautifully. I use brown paper these days too because it’s recyclable and raffia but not added dried fruits although I’m tempted now I’ve seen yours. Beautiful just beautiful. You could try a bit of holly.
Pjran thank you, yes, it’s funny you say that because my husband went for a walk with his mum yesterday and I asked him to get some holly and berries.... I got a bin bag full!! Again it looks gorgeous and it’s free! Xxxx
MandeeMayson I know where to send mine to be wrapped then, I don't enjoy it.
I start with the best of intentions, but it descends into a mess of torn paper and losing the end of the selotape.

I’ve seen people put a wreath on them, instead of the dried fruit, something like this that I found on Google as an example:

MandeeMayson And I think it could work great alongside the wrapping you do already since that’s also natural with the dried fruit!
stevea808 it’s definitely easier but I just love how these look and love doing them, and it gives me something to do too instead of just watching TV! LOL! Xxxxx
You could try using a Furoshiki wrapping cloth. It can be used to wrap presents or to carry items. Lots of places sell them online. It looks nice and unlike wrapping paper, it can be used over and over again. But, they are more expensive, so maybe just for special gifts. Or just improvise if you have fabric at home
